A good hot stamping machine not only has these five parts, but also needs to have the advantages of elegant and beautiful appearance, reasonable design, compact structure, good performance of each part, and long service life.
2. Choose the appropriate hot stamping paper
Hot stamping paper is essentially a carrier coating transfer process coating film, usually consisting of 5 layers:
Carrier: composed of polyester film or polyester film, providing support for other layers. Conventional production often uses PET polyester film as the carrier for hot stamping paper.
The first coating: The first coating is called the centrifugal layer, also known as the peeling layer. During hot stamping, the pigment, aluminum, and adhesive layer can quickly detach from the PET polyester film and be transferred and bonded to the surface of the object being hot stamped.
Second coating: The second coating is called a protective layer, mainly made of protective coating materials such as oil, grease, resin, etc; This layer is mainly used to protect the pigment layer and the precision aluminum plating layer, and can enhance the brightness of the hot stamping paper after hot stamping.
The third coating: The third coating is called the imaging layer, also known as the pigment layer. It is mainly composed of synthetic resin and dyes, forming the color of hot stamping paper, such as red, blue, green, gold, etc., which determines the appearance color or hue of hot stamping paper, and is also the determining factor layer of the variety of hot stamping paper colors.
The fourth coating: The fourth coating is called the precision aluminum plating layer. Formed by vacuum high-temperature evaporation, cooling, sublimation deposition of metallic aluminum. The main function of the aluminum plating layer is to reflect light and give the dyed layer a metallic luster.
The fifth coating: The fifth coating is called the adhesive layer. It is mainly composed of hot-melt plastic or resin, and its function is to bond the aluminum plating layer and dyeing layer to the object to be ironed under the action of pressure and temperature. This layer is an important coating that determines the applicability and versatility of hot stamping paper.
Hot stamping paper can be divided into large area hot stamping paper and small area hot stamping paper. Large area hot stamping requires a thick coating of hot stamping paper, which provides better coverage over a large area; For small area hot stamping, a thin coating of hot stamping paper is required for a cleaner peeling and clearer edges.
3. There should be a good hot stamping plate and hot stamping base
The hot stamping version includes: metal version and silicone version. Most plastic products use silicone version. The hot stamping base, also known as the fixture, can be divided into flat hot stamping base, circular hot stamping base, and imitation hot stamping base according to different products. Most of the materials are aluminum ingots, and it is required that all positions of the product, especially the hot stamping surface, be fully supported without any gaps or leaks to prevent the product from being crushed.
4. Adjust the appropriate hot stamping parameters based on the different materials of the product and the shape and size of the hot stamping area.
5. High quality hot stamping personnel. The hot stamping operators are required to flexibly apply various parameters of the hot stamping process, adjust them moderately according to different products, and be patient with strong safety awareness.
